Spray-On Paving: Quick FAQs

What is spray-on paving / concrete resurfacing?
It’s a decorative, cement-based overlay (~3 mm thick) sprayed or trowel-applied onto existing concrete. This transforms tired slab areas into textured, designer-finish surfaces — perfect for patios, driveways, and pathway.
How do you prepare the surface?
We assess for structural integrity, then diamond-grind with dust extraction. Cracks are repaired (small cracks filled with epoxy; larger ones stitched with steel), before acid washing, pressure cleaning, priming and masking—all to ensure a solid bond.
What colours, patterns & textures are available?
Choose from 28 contemporary colours plus fleck finishes. Options include blanket coat, tile-look, crazy patterns, sandstone mimicry, grayscale design, and custom graphics or logos.
Is spray-on paving slipresistant and durable?
Yes—its textured surface offers built-in slip resistance and abrasion resistance, making it suitable for high-traffic and wet areas like pool surrounds.
What’s involved in sealing & maintenance?
After a final sweep and spray coats, we seal with two coats—you can choose from acrylic sealers (gloss, matt), low-VOC water-based options, or premium polyurethane. Resealing every 2–3 years keeps it looking fresh and protected.
Can spray-on paving include stencilled designs or borders?
Absolutely! We can incorporate stencils, borders, tile patterns, or custom images using masking and hopper spray – turning your concrete into a true design feature.
